I enjoyed the breakfast buffet before beginning the first day of travel with a sightseeing tour by bus through Auckland.  The tour members are from the following countries:  Australia, Great Britain, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, Wales, and United States.  Traveling south I enjoyed viewing the limestone formations which are thousands of years old with visible layers of ash from volcanoes.  We enjoyed a guided boat tour of the incredible Glow Worm Grotto illuminated by the lights of thousands of tiny glow worms hanging from the ceiling.  We registered at the Ibis Hotel in Rotorua before enjoying Maori Hangi and Concert including a delicious buffet dinner which had been cooked over hot rocks in a hole in the ground.  We saw a performance of the Haka, a dazzling display of Poi dance and songs of the custom.
